Are you looking for a great place to work?
We are searching for senior software developers and tech leads to join our Cloud product development team. Our values are important to us, they are key to our success and they also make Hindsight a great place to work. The interview process is even influenced by our values.
Job title: Senior Software Developer
Salary range: £60,000 to £65,000
Location: Epsom, Surrey (UK)
Your CV doesn’t have to list these programming languages as we believe great programmers can switch languages. What we do want to see is strong experience in writing quality code, TDD and building web applications.
Why come and work for us?
We break the mould with our relaxed dress code and working environment, and fortnightly team lunch, and still we successfully develop an award-winning product that truly helps our customers. It’s important to find the right people for our team, and in turn we strive to help our people achieve the right balance. We want to deliver excellent service to our customers and allow you to build your career, without sacrificing your personal priorities. We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we welcome applications from candidates whose experience matches our criteria and who require some flexibility in their working arrangements.
When not setting modern software development trends, we are adopting them years ahead of most other companies. Hindsight's CEO/CTO is a regular conference speaker on programming, agile software development and software testing, so you will get exposed to cutting-edge techniques. But it’s not just speakers who get to go to conferences; investing in our people goes hand-in-hand with developing a great product, so all team members get the opportunity to attend conferences and training. In addition, everyone receives mentoring and personalised training from the senior team, and there are opportunities for ambitious people to move to a more senior position.
Who are we?
Hindsight Software is a small but growing company based in Epsom, Surrey but with a global market. We create enterprise-grade tools and provide training to help companies integrate behaviour driven development (BDD) into their software development process. BDD is an analysis technique for discovering and communicating software requirements between business stakeholders and software developers, which is a common failure point in many projects. Our client industries range from e-commerce and retail, to regulated environments such as medical software and banking.
How to apply
If you would like to join our team, please send your CV and a covering letter to Alan Parkinson. Since CVs can be a little boring (especially if we’re reading lots of them!), please use the letter as your opportunity to stand out from the rest and tell us why you’re the best person to join our team in this role.
We don’t have a lengthy, multi-stage selection process. We will select interesting candidates as applications are received and arrange coffee or a video call as the initial step. This would be followed by a on-site interview which features lunch with the team and a technical exercise on our current code-base. Interviewing is a two-way process, and we welcome candidates to question us so they can work out the suitability of Hindsight as an employer and more importantly the role.
